I’m proud to represent a generation that seeks to change, and I am proud to help lead a movement surrounded by the bright minds of thousands of young adults across the nation. I was proud to be a part of the Alliance for Climate Education, a group of people who sees that empowering and educating youth is one of the most effective ways make an impact.
Think about the impact this would have on children everywhere if we could start more environmental education programs like ClimateLEAP. They have such a lasting impact and are very valuable. I think that in order to make a change in our world, we need to spread the word. Make it known, so that people can understand and do something about it. I have experienced the impact that an environmental program has on me, and it is life changing.
As youth we have a lot of radical energy pulsing through us – which society often fears and tries to suppress – but GSE is able to harness that energy and direct it in a positive and constructive way. With this we are able to stay engaged, invoke our passions, and discover our inner strength.
Working as a Green Scholar has opened up my eyes and has allowed me to expand my skills and knowledge in environmental efforts.
